September 14 – 21st. Welcome the September equinox, a time when the energy is about finding the balance in all areas of your life. Get your body, mind and spirit in tune and in a natural flow with nature. Make this transition organic and come back to your roots as well as natural rhythms. SEPTEMBER EQUINOX

Balance: new moon magic

September 21 – 28th. Set your intentions for the nearing new moon and allow the new season to be welcomed with a clear mind, hear and body. Use the new moon energy and the changing nature to assist you in this transition and let our yin and yang chakra balancing classes and other sessions bring you the so needed balance. Allow the magic of a ritual create space for peace, love, exploration, and growth.

FALL NEW MOON

The retreat includes:

7 nights in the island villa
2 daily yoga sessions (morning and afternoon, includes meditation)
Special workshops and sessions (see above)
2 delicious vegetarian/vegan meals per day (breakfasts and dinners)
Tours around the island 
Tea available at all times
Transfer from/to the port of Vis to/from the Villa

Not included: Flights, transfer from Split airport to the ferry harbour (the return shuttle costs around 10 euros, takes 30-40 minutes), ferry tickets (the return trip costs around 15 euros), travel insurance.

During the balance yoga retreat in Croatia we’ll invite you not only practice yoga and meditation, but also explore the beautiful and unique island of Vis. These are the tours we’re inviting you to: Blue cave and Komiza fisherman’s village tour; Vis town historic tour, Stiniva cove hiking and Srebrena beach tours.

Yoga & meditation

Yoga and meditation classes at our Balance yoga retreat in Croatia are suitable for everyone – from a beginner to a longer practicing yogi. We focus hatha and vinyasa flow and use breathing techniques such as Pranayama in the classes. Each session has time devoted to meditation, self-awareness and consciousness. Our morning sessions are a more active and energizing vinyasa flow and afternoon classes focus on restorative and yin yoga. Our classes cater the need of each individual group so that it’s comfortable, safe and supports development.

The Accomodation

We accommodate our guests in a beautiful Vis town villa that is located uphill from the town’s bay and only 5-minute walk from the center and 10-minute walk from the beach. With an amazing view to the town and the Vis bay as well as a pool and large terraces the villa is a great place for this active yoga holiday. Each room has its own bathroom and air conditioning.

Food

At the Balance yoga retreat in Croatia we provide vegetarian meals – a rich breakfast buffet and dinner cooked at the villa. All of our food is vegetarian, vegan or raw, we use a lot of locally grown seasonal fruit, vegetables, spices and herbs. As well locally produced olive oil, cheeses and other goodies. We accommodate gluten-free and vegan guests!

Rosie Markwick

Vinyasa, yin yoga, meditation, sessions. Originally from London, Rosie has been passionately engaged with yoga for the past 7 years. Rosie trained first and foremost in Bali, completing a Yoga Alliance 200-hour training. This was swiftly followed by a SUP yoga teacher training after falling in love with the practice on tropical lagoons of Indonesia. Since, she has furthered her qualifications in both yoga and SUP, completing a SUP instructor course as well as training in yin yoga, yoga energetics and craniosacral therapy. Rosie’s dynamic classes focus on healthy alignment and core stability, fused with creative flows and her yin classes focus on yoga psychology and energetics. All of her classes are powerful, inclusive and deeply healing.

Milda Urban

Food, yin yoga, sessions. Milda is a former journalist has worked almost 10 years in health, fitness and lifestyle magazines writing articles and features on these topics. She has also worked as a business reporter and in a few international business social responsibility projects, focusing on encouraging green business. After that Milda has changed her career path to tourism and now works as event and active travel organizer. What better work can you find for an absolute travel junkie?! Her love of healthy lifestyle, yoga and the outdoors has brought her to the perfect job – organizing yoga and adventure retreats where she shares her passions with all the guests. She is a vegetarian and vegan chef and as well as yin yoga teacher.

The island of Vis is one of the most further, isolated and mysterious Croatian islands.
The island charms with its natural beauties – rugged coast around the island, dotted with gorgeous coves and caves. As well as a couple of sand beaches, crystal clear sea, surrounding islets and a spectacular green inland.
